Mount Tabor.

I spent a couple hours over at Mount Tabor this morning...  It was beautiful out so it was nice to just walk around.  The place is pretty much being run my finches right now.  I love the Lesser Goldfinches at the top and they are more than happy to pose for a photo.

There seemed to be a lot of nest-building going on... I saw this female Black-headed Grosbeak collecting little twigs, and a Cedar Waxwing with a feathery item...

I saw my first Olive-sided Flycatcher this year... It was defending the top of this tree from several persistent House Finches.

It was a good morning!  Then I came home to the house where I'm dog-sitting/house-sitting, and seeing as it's so hot I went over to Rite-aid and bought a cheap kiddie pool. So now I've got the rest of the day to drink some Pabsts and sit in the pool, well, when the dogs let me...
