Australia's first ever Tufted Duck was recently found at the big treatment plant here near Melbourne and the birders of Australia did not quite react in such a cool and calm fashion! (I definitely took my scope, for one thing)

The Grouse is awesome too and I love the photo of the Nuthatch!Emmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15217603442534914217noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8715459874050137252.post-20689775353646516792019-02-08T10:02:46.283-08:002019-02-08T10:02:46.283-08:00The o-face raccoon with the tongue out is not some...The o-face raccoon with the tongue out is not something I will ever forget.

Well done on the Tufted Duck, that is a super tufty one too. Will remember to not bring a scope when I am near waterfowl. I don't think I'll be getting one of those in my 5MR, but now that I think about it I had TUDU in 3 historic 5MRs, not bad!

The displaying grouse envy is real.Seagull Stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01851438505719552645noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8715459874050137252.post-82602446872427849982019-02-08T09:53:04.193-08:002019-02-08T09:53:04.193-08:00Thanks for sharing these stories and photos :) Wo...Thanks for sharing these stories and photos :) Wow, that Ruffed Grouse! I liken this metaphor to the guy who shows up to the gym with all the fancy and expensive equipment. They are most likely NOT the best person on the court.
