Sauvie Island (Rentenaar Road) & Broughton Beach.

I decided to spend this gorgeous afternoon at Sauvie Island to see just how annoying it would be to bird while holding two leashes... It is mighty annoying.  Ralph dragging in one direction, Jake in the other, both peeing on everything including each other (accidentally I think).  My arms are tired.  But I did manage a few good photos...

Right away I found a Fox Sparrow!

And his Golden-crowned friend...

A Savannah Sparrow...

A White-crowned Sparrow...

A Yellow-rumped Warbler...

 A Ruby-crowned Kinglet...

It seemed like the sun was setting even though it wasn't even 4 o'clock... I stopped to take some photos on my way back home...

Yesterday morning I decided to check out Broughton Beach because I had never been there (or even knew it existed).  It was super foggy and cold but I saw a few cool birds... Like these Horned Grebes:

A female Common Goldeneye...

On my way back to the car I started craving sweet potato fries.  I have no idea why...

  4. If those pictures are the ones you got with holding on to two dogs, I wonder how you'd do without the dogs! Fabulous shots; especially like the Fox Sparrow and the Kinglet, but on second viewing I like ALL of them.
