Yard birds.

This morning I went out to check on the progress of the chickadees.  It seems they've done a dandy job excavating and hopefully will be moving in soon, if they haven't already.

I haven't seen the chickadees near the nest today but they were at the feeders, along with a couple other cool birds:  My White-crowned Sparrow returned today!

Also out there was the first Yellow-rumped Warbler my yard has seen this year... An Audubon's (how appropriate on his birthday).

  1. Nice shots - can't wait to see if they move in.

  2. Great to see the warbler!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.

  3. Good luck with the chickadees. They nested in a birdhouse in our yard a couple of years ago and it was fascinating how active they were. After two years using the house, they never came back last year.

  4. Nice photography on your site. Just discovered your blog. Do you have a twitter feed of your posts?

  5. Great Yard BIrds!! Hope you'll be a chickadee GodMother soon!

  6. @Kirk- Actually Twitter kind of scares me so nope, no Twitter feed...
